This past weekend I attended a bachelorette party and was put in charge of the Jello Shots. I had planned to try out a few variations, but inevitably ran out of vodka and the syringes that were used to “shoot” them. The standard cherry version and Moscow Mule won out, but I had wanted to attempt the Arnold Palmer recipe.
Standard Jello Shot Recipe
- 1 small box of Jell-O
- 8 ounces of boiling water
- 6 ounces Vodka – I used Tito’s
- 2 ounces water
Add one small box of Jell-O to 8 oz. of boiling water. Once the Jell-O has dissolved, allow the mixture to come to room temperature – I stuck my glass Pyrex pitcher over a bowl of ice to cool it down. At the same time combine the vodka and water in a separate container.
Once the Jell-O mixture is at room temp., add the vodka and water and stir. Then pour into the molds you will be using. I used these syringes that I purchased off of Amazon. They are a much cleaner way to eat these.
Then just stick them in the fridge for a few hours until they have set. The wider the container, the quicker they will setup.
For the Moscow Mule Shots, I used this recipe.
These were the Arnold Palmer shots I would have tried, had I not run out of vodka midway through.
